I am a people-centred leader driven by purpose, impact, and service. As an award-winning CEO and community advocate, I bring a proven track record of delivering strong outcomes while building high-performing, values-led teams.
I currently serve as Group CEO of Tender Loving Care, Deputy Mayor of Sutherland Shire Council, and President of the Sutherland Shire Football Association. Across each role, my focus remains consistent: inclusive growth, strong governance, and genuine community connection.
My leadership journey is grounded in giving back and creating environments where people can contribute, belong, and thrive. I hold multiple board and committee positions, including Director of Fibrous Dysplasia / McCune Albright Syndrome Australia, advocating for those whose voices are too often unheard.
Beyond governance and executive leadership, I am the host of a podcast, Amplify with Laura Cowell, where I amplify stories of leadership, inclusion, sport, and social impact.
In recognition of my commitment to service, I was honoured as Local Woman of the Year in both 2022 and 2024. named a Top 50 Women of Influence for 2025 by The CEO Magazine, and selected as a Finalist for CEO of the Year 2025 (Not-for-Profit).
First elected to Council in 2021, I was re-elected for the 2024–2028 term and appointed Deputy Mayor for 2024–2026.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple commitment: to help build a connected and safe community, where people of all ages and abilities are supported to live active, meaningful lives. From local priorities to broader social challenges, my work spans community, business, sport, media, and advocacy.
